The Filter Beneath Every Perfect Slab

Our injection-moulded HIPS filter plates sit between the wet concrete and the press face during manufacture. The filter draws off excess water evenly, producing the uniform surface texture and precise dimensions that make British paving among the world's finest.

Manufactured in Nottingham using our own extrusion and injection moulding process, every filter is produced to your exact specification.

Our Story

Filter Innovation

ECO Filters Ltd was established in Nottingham in 1987 with a single purpose: to replace the wasteful, inconsistent single-use paper filtration systems that the concrete paving industry depended on.

Our founders recognised that the quality of a concrete slab — its surface texture, its dimensional accuracy, the sharpness of its arrises — depended fundamentally on the filter between the concrete and the press face. Paper filters were inconsistent, single-use, and increasingly expensive.

ECO Filters developed a reusable alternative — a precision-manufactured HIPS filter plate that could perform press cycle after press cycle, delivering consistent results every time. Customers found they could reduce costs, improve surface quality, and eliminate the daily disruption of paper filter procurement.

Today we supply 90+ manufacturers across 12 countries — from Marshalls' 15 UK sites to specialists in Sweden, Switzerland, Canada, the UAE, South Africa, and Australia. Every customer has bespoke specifications maintained against their individual moulds.

1987
ECO Filters established in Nottingham. First reusable concrete press filter developed as alternative to paper systems.
1995
Injection moulding capability added. Begin manufacturing HIPS plastic components in-house for tighter tolerances.
2003
Marshalls partnership established. Begin supplying all 15 UK manufacturing sites with site-specific filter specifications.
2010
International expansion. First supply to Aggregate Industries, Swedish, Canadian and UAE customers. Now 12 countries served.
2024
Digital transformation begins. Customer portal, barcode tracking, and real-time order management system developed.
